Hello.
I started sending out the Chicago Film List in March 2017 as a (small) way to bring together the sometimes disconnected Chicago film community.
In my experience, there were a lot of great events and organizations out there, but a lot of people, especially people who were new to the scene, didn't know about them.
The weekly emails focus on resources, events, and other items related to indie filmmaking in Chicago, although occasionally I post something from further afield.
Let me know if you have any ideas for helping build the community in other (small) ways. It doesn't have to be anything any more complicated than a happy hour.
